University Introduction
Marche Polytechnic University is a public university located in Ancona, Italy. The presence of this university in Ancona is almost a historical event; Because in the Middle Ages, Ancona was famous for having a law school, and later obtained permission from the pope to establish a public educational institution where theology and civil law were taught.
Gradually, in later years, the addition of other faculties with different educational backgrounds was approved by the pope and added to the university. Also, the faculty members were engaged in research and teaching there with the power of awarding various scientific degrees. In addition, all students, faculty, and faculty members enjoyed similar privileges and special conditions at universities such as the University of Bologna and Padua. Eventually, the city of Ancona introduced its only university to all, adding the faculties of Economics and Business, Agriculture, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences to its departments, respectively, until in 2009 the university, with five faculties, There were 21 Bachelore degree and 19 graduate programs and several courses, such as a five-year online master’s degree program in medicine, orthodontics, dentistry and surgery, about 29 specialized courses and ten PhD courses. The number of students studying in the 2009-2010 academic year even reached 17,000 and the number of staff reached 605.
One of the current facilities of the university is the sports complex, which is located on a large plot of land in Posatura, which was the former location of the School of Medicine and Surgery. There is a newly established botanical garden in the same area, the main purpose of which is to cover the agricultural research section of the university and provide various facilities in this field. In addition to these facilities, Marche University is rebuilding an old barracks in the same area and turning it into a guest house with all the facilities for students and scholars from other Italian or foreign universities who mostly participate in research projects and research programs. In 2003, the University of Ancona changed its name to Marche Polytechnic University.
Marke Polytechnic University has ten departments as follows: Department of Civil Engineering and Construction, Department of Engineering, Information, Department of Industrial Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, Department of Management, Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Department of Agricultural Sciences, Food and Environment, Department of Medical Sciences and Public Health, Department of Molecular and Clinical Sciences, Department of Clinical Sciences and Specialized Dentistry, Department of Economics and Social Sciences.
