University Introduction
The University of Salerno is a university located in the green surroundings of Fishiano and in the Baroness. Its main camp is in Fisciano and its medical school is in Baronissi. According to researchers, the Schola Medica Salernitana School was the most important medical school in Europe between the 10th and 13th centuries. In fact, in the 10th century, the school was recognized for its quality physicians and was officially introduced. In later centuries, students from all over Europe, Africa and Asia came to study there. The main medical school was closed hundreds of years ago, but Salerno is still a place of learning and education for students from all over the world. The current University of Salerno (known as UNICA or the University of Modern Salerno) opened in 1944 and in 1968 became a relatively large university in Italy, with several faculties added over the years and the number of students rapidly It is growing.
The university currently has about 15 departments offering a wide range of Bachelore degree and graduate courses to students from all over Italy and around the world. A wide range of these courses are taught in English.
