University Introduction

As the name implies, the Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI) is a scientific-specialized university located in the economic capital of Italy, Milan. The university has shown that it attaches great importance to research and research by awarding various scholarships with very reasonable values ​​in both master’s and doctoral degrees and this is one of the most important reasons for choosing this university. For several consecutive years, it has been the top university in Italy.

It may be interesting to know that on November 29, 1863, Francesco Brioschi founded the Instituto Tecnico Superiore (Italian: Instituto Tecnico Superiore), which was also the first Italian School of Engineering. It has been very difficult to study at this institution; Students had to attend university full time 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday afternoon, and attending all classes and workshops was mandatory. Another very interesting point is that if a person was absent for even one day, he / she had to provide legal documents stating the reason for the absence, with the stamp of the mayor of the area where the student lived. The student was also reported missing from his university by the university. It did not take long for the university to become known to its students as The Brioschi Asylum.

The university has seven campuses, the oldest of which is located in the center of Milan, called the Leonardo Campus (Leonardo Campus) in 1927, and today has more than 40 small and large buildings. Campus Boiza (1989) is the second campus of the University of Milan, with five other campuses, respectively, in the year of the founding of Como (founded 1987), Lecco (founded 1989), Cremona (established 1991), Mantova (Mantova). (Founded 1994) and Piacenza (founded 1997).

In 2020, this prominent university has enrolled more than 44,260 students in different levels and disciplines as follows, which are: 7,572 students of architecture, 4,969 students of design and 32,328 students of engineering, respectively.

In addition, the university has enrolled more than 7,400 international students in 2018, including 1,466 Bachelore degree students, 4,834 graduate students, and 1,102 international doctoral students.

The university also offers more than 50 courses in English at different levels as follows: 2 Bachelore degree courses which are architecture and civil engineering, 34 Master degree courses, 18 doctoral courses.

Finally, it should be noted that this university has more than 2500 technical and administrative staff.

Here are some important points for applicants who intend to study at this university:

First of all, those who intend to study for a master’s degree at this university in Italian should know that even if they want to study in Italian at this university, they must still be at least IELs 6 like someone who intends to study in English. Or submit TOEFL 78 to the university. As a result, those wishing to study in Italian at the Master degree level must have both an Italian and an English language degree.

Secondly, you do not need a language certificate to apply at this university at the time of application, and you will have until the embassy deadline to prepare a language certificate.
